Christmas Carols for Piano - Spectaculary Beautiful Christmas Songs!
If you would like to play spectacularly beautiful Christmas Carols on your piano for your family and yourself this Christmas, we have a series of 4 wonderful courses so you can do just that! The first 3 are for people who can already read Christmas piano sheet music and play the piano, but want to learn to add those exciting techniques that make Carols come to life and make people want to sing along. The first course is called:
"The Secret of Arranging
Spectacularly Beautiful
Christmas Carols!"
This is a wonderful 2-hour DVD on playing and arranging Christmas carols, complete with a booklet of the Christmas piano sheet music songs we arrange together. We start out with a lush version of "Silent Night", using many chord substitutions that I explain as we go. We also use echoes, half-step slides, arps, and rapid-fire right hand runs. Then we move to "Joy to the World", using two different styles -- a "chimes" version (complete with "big-ben"), and also a rhythmic style that you will absolutely love! Then we do a haunting version of "We Three Kings", using some "bluesy" techniques and some hand-over arps and some grace notes. After that we arrange "Angels We Have Heard On High", using an Alberti Bass style plus a walking bass octave style in 8th notes in the left hand that is really exciting.
This video, by the way, is for people who already read Christmas piano sheet music and can play carols as they are written on the written music, but want to learn how to make them more interesting, exciting, nostalgic, and just more beautiful.
I don't have the space here to go into more detail, but we also do dynamite arrangements of "O Little Town Of Bethlehem", "O Christmas Tree", "Angels From The Realms Of Glory", and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" in wonderful, distinctive styles you will love and treasure (and everyone who hears you play will too!)
After I teach you each Christmas carol, we come back and look over my shoulder and straight down at the keys close-up as I play each style and technique in slow motion so you can follow each technique closely.
